What is canine physiotherapy?
Canine physiotherapy uses manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation to support dogs recovering from injury, surgery, or managing chronic pain. Each treatment plan is tailored by our qualified veterinary physiotherapists.

How can hydrotherapy help my dog?
Hydrotherapy involves controlled exercise in warm water, helping reduce joint strain, build muscle, and support recovery. It’s particularly beneficial for dogs with arthritis, post-operative needs, neurological conditions, or weight issues.

Do you offer alternatives to surgery?
Yes, we offer non-surgical solutions such as custom orthotic devices including braces, slings, wraps and prosthetics. We also work closely with your vet on pain relief and mobility options.

Can you help my dog with arthritis?
Absolutely. We are the first UK practice to become a strategic partner with Canine Arthritis Management. We offer dedicated arthritis clinics and bespoke treatment plans to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Appointments & Referrals

Do I need a veterinary referral?
Yes, we require a completed referral form from your vet before your first appointment. This ensures we have your dog’s clinical history and can provide the safest and most effective care.

What happens during the initial consultation?
The initial 90-minute appointment includes a full clinical history review, physical assessment, gait and stance analysis, goal setting, and a personalised treatment plan. Home care guidance and recommended therapies are also provided.

Can I claim on my pet insurance?
Many insurance providers cover physiotherapy and hydrotherapy if referred by your vet. While we do not process claims directly, we provide full documentation for you to submit to your insurer.

What facilities do your clinics offer?
Our centres are fully equipped with state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pools, underwater treadmills, treatment rooms, digital gait analysis technology, and equipment for fitting braces and supports.

Do you offer home visits?
Yes, home visits are available if you are unable to travel. This service allows your dog to receive treatment in a familiar and low-stress environment.
